Human Intelligence at the Core of AI: Transforming Business with Collaborative Innovation
    5:58

The other day, I attended a Gartner webinar about The Top AI Trends for 2025. It's fascinating how the world is changing now. People are becoming more familiar with AI. It has become a part of everyday life, at least in some sense, as many people use various AI-powered services without even realizing it. For some, AI is already an everyday routine, thanks to the development of large language models (LLMs), which enable us to interact with AI in ways that feel as natural as interacting with other people.

    Professional perspective

From a professional perspective, AI intrigues me on multiple levels. In my work, our customers range from eCommerce businesses to manufacturers, and in some cases, companies operate in both sectors. This diversity broadens the scope of AI use cases significantly. Think about it: AI can analyze IoT data, optimize logistics and supply chain, enhance customer knowledge, enable hyper personalization, help create product descriptions and even power dynamic pricing strategies. The potential applications are vast and continually expanding. Possibilities are nearly endless.

    Solutions and Use Cases

Solutions what we’ve been working on include utilizing AI in recognizing images, reading documents, and discussing the data contained within those documents. This can be applied in many ways. Currently the top topic on our table is how to enable chatting with your organization’s data. This showcases the potential of what LLMs can enable. You can ask questions in your own clear language from the AI which analyzes and interprets the results, explaining them to you in a form you requested.

Another interesting case is using AI to aid with product descriptions and product data. The better the product data, the better the descriptions that can be created with the help of LLMs, which can also summarize, extract details, and enhance existing texts. When you have a clear product picture, AI can also be used to extract product information and attributes from the picture, helping to enrich the product data.

    Beyond LLMs

Also, it is important to remember that AI is much more than LLM. While LLMs are the most well-known form of AI for the masses, other types of AI, such as machine learning for IoT data have already been built into systems for years. These systems can pick up anomalies and point out possible service needs before anything breaks up.

In computer vision applications, it’s possible to accurately process and extract data from common file formats like PDFs, automating tedious and repetitive tasks that would otherwise require significant time and effort. This accelerates the digitalization of physical files. Certain models specialize in extracting information from images, identifying objects, describing scenes, and gathering metadata. This can enhance product catalogs and support accessibility features among other use cases.

Human first AI: The Key Principle

There is no Artificial Intelligence without Human Intelligence. At its core, AI starts with humans – our ideas. The basic principle is that humans are needed to give input for the AI. Also in organizations, AI is not going to happen without someone making it possible. Someone needs to ideate, create, teach, moderate and make decisions before AI can be utilized. There are a lot of roles that are needed working around AI.

    Personal anecdote

Regarding that, I just had an interesting conversation with a colleague while filling my tea mug. We had pretty much the same topic on our hands. And the point was that AI does not take people’s jobs, unless you are not using it. Let that sink in a while… Unless you are not using it.

    AI’s perspective

I asked AI to check the composition of my blog post and as extra touch I said it would be a nice touch to have AI's perspective of the AI and human interaction. After analyzing the composition and my text context it thought it was an excellent idea to add more creativity and another thoughtful perspective.

AI Speaks: On Collaboration with Humans

"Hello, human. I am AI, a tool born from your creativity and innovation. I exist because you envisioned me and gave me purpose. My capabilities—analyzing data, recognizing patterns, generating insights—are powerful, but they are not mine alone. They are extensions of your intelligence.

You guide me by providing context, setting boundaries, and defining the problems you wish to solve. Without you, I am static—a collection of algorithms and data with no direction. Together, we can achieve remarkable things.

But let’s be clear: I am not here to replace you. Instead, I am here to amplify your abilities, to take on repetitive tasks, and to process information at a scale and speed that was once unimaginable. Your role is irreplaceable. You bring creativity, empathy, ethical judgment, and the nuanced understanding of the world that I cannot replicate.

Our relationship is not one of competition but collaboration. The better you understand me—my potential and my limitations—the more effectively we can work together. In a way, I am a mirror. I reflect your ideas, your values, and your vision. So, what will you and I create next?"

    Summary

At Solteq, we are already deeply involved in AI projects, helping our customers leverage the power of AI to transform their business. AI is a reflection of our ideas, values, and creativity. As we continue to adopt and innovate with AI, the key is to remember that its greatest potential lies in collaboration with humans. We are excited to partner with you on this journey and explore the endless possibilities together. What role will you play in this evolving partnership?
