Nevel Oy, a Vapo Group company that delivers industrial and municipal infrastructure solutions, has chosen the Nordic IT services and software solution provider Solteq Plc to implement its new customer information system. The project covers the invoicing and extranet services of Nevel’s Finnish, Swedish and Estonian district heating and wholesale customers. This project kicked off in January 2020 and the goal is to complete it by the end of the year.
The new system will bring Nevel Oyj’s 150 energy production plants and 40 district heating networks under a common, modern information system. The solution consists of Solteq’s inWorks and inPulse4Utilities products. inWorks covers customer and contract data management, invoicing, the ledger and reporting. inPulse4Utilities includes online services for end customers, providing access to contract, consumption and invoicing data.
Nevel expects the partnership to provide its customers with better services due to features such as more advanced incident reporting, usage reports and more-fluent information flows. The service unifies invoicing practices and enables scalability between countries.
“We have invested heavily in the development of our own software products and the creation a Nordic expert organization to meet the needs of extensive international IT projects. We are delighted that, thanks to the new customer information system delivered to Nevel Oy, our long-term partnership with the Vapo Group will expand to Sweden and Estonia,” sums up Ilkka Brander from Solteq Software.
