Helen Ltd’s district heating and cooling customers are served by Solteq's Solteq Utilities CIS customer information management and billing system. In ongoing projects, the system will be expanded to include electricity sales and electricity grid business operations. The goal of the projects is to offer Helen's customers even better and more customer-oriented services by enhancing the core processes of the energy business and utilizing the modern integration capabilities of the inWorks system.
More logical user interface and more efficient processes
"The cooperation was smooth throughout the project and the actual implementation of district heating and cooling went well and as planned. The system received good feedback from users exceptionally quickly right after the start of the production phase," says unit manager Jarmo Ojamo from Helen. "There are clear benefits to be seen and we have clearly gone in a better direction. The user interface is easy to use and thanks to the system's further developing degree of automation and performance, the implementation of the basic processes of the energy market is successful. We are able to do things faster than before and focus better on our core business."
Digitalization and integration capabilities at the center of customer service
Helen's vision is to be the most customer-focused energy company on the market and to bring the possibilities of the new energy era within everyone's reach. An important part of this is digitalization, which is used in customer service to achieve e.g. simplicity and speed. "With the help of digitalization and data that is flexibly available through interfaces, we are able to serve our customers even better, for example by refining the data into interesting information to the customer and targeting the offered services”, Ojamo states.
"We chose Solteq because we trust that Solteq will develop a set of applications in a direction that will support Helen's work and strategy in the long run as well. Thanks to the system's further developing degree of automation and performance, the implementation of the basic processes of the energy market is successful. We are able to do things faster than before and focus better on our core business."

Collaboration adds value to the product and the partner's expertise
Choosing a suitable partner and system was a long and precise process. In the overall consideration was considered, e.g. functional content, life cycle costs, the modernity of the technical implementation, and the partner perspective. "With partnerships, we are looking for partners from whom we can clearly gain added value ourselves - not only through the product, but also through the partner's expertise," says Ojamo. In the procurement of the customer service and invoicing system, the customer-producer model did not come into question, instead the project required a completely different type of cooperation. "We chose Solteq because we trust that Solteq will develop a set of applications in a direction that will support Helen's work and strategy in the long run as well," states Ojamo and continues: "We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership, where in close cooperation we will constantly develop our services anticipating the future needs and opportunities of the energy market."
