A customer portal to serve customers
Avarn Security has hundreds of customers from small companies to large organizations. Avarn did not have capability to provide real time overivew of their services, and information was spread around multiple different systems. Avarn was also lacking a feedback and support channel to serve their customers efficiently.
Avarn Security Oy wanted to be a forerunner in their service industry by offering excellent customer experience for their clients. To do so, they needed a digital platform where Avarn's clients can monitor common KPIs and operational data from services and products securing their B2B customer's daily lives.
Avarn wanted to offer a wow-effect for their clients visually and functionally. Solteq's design proposal convinced from the visual perspective. Solteq also suggested Liferay as a solution with excellent out-of-the-box functionalities for B2B digital service channel, flexibility and secure environment to keep their customer information safe, also in the future. And besides Avarn's top-of-mind needs, Solteq was able to offer the expertise to develop the channel further in the future to digitally commercialize Avarn's services and products with flexible Liferay Digital Experience Platform.

Customer portal project
The project started with a definition/pre-study phase in May 2022. The project development phase got started in October 2022. The production usage (Pilot phase) started in June 2023 and roll-outs to more users continued in autumn 2023.
Avarn was happy with the approach
The project was implemented using agile methodology and a Scrum model. Implementation was done in two-week sprints and the customer was involved in the development phase from the beginning of the project.
Avarn was happy with the approach where they were able to see the actual outcomes in a very early stages of the project. Especially integration work required close cooperation with Avarn and the 3rd party integration provider because the source systems were developed at the same time with the Avarn portal.
Weekly meetings and monthly steerings ensured that all the parties involved to the project were at all times on the same page about the project status.
